Warner Bros. studio has released the trailer for one of the most anticipated films of the year – “Practical Magic 2,” which will be a sequel to the iconic 1998 film. Hollywood stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are returning to their roles as Sally and Gillian Owens, sisters from a family of witches.

The film’s events unfold thirty years after the finale of the first installment. We meet Sally and Gillian again, who must confront a dark curse that threatens to destroy their family forever. This time, the determined witches are trying to break an ancient family curse, according to which all men who fall in love with women of their lineage perish.

It is symbolic that the stars of the first film, almost thirty years ago, have returned to their roles: besides Bullock and Kidman, actresses Diane Wiest and Stockard Channing, who portrayed their aunts Bridget and Frances, are also back. Among the new actresses are Joey King (“The Kissing Booth”) and Maisie Williams (“Game of Thrones”), who play Sally’s daughters.

“There is no magic stronger than sisterhood,” says Stockard Channing’s character, Franny Owens, at the beginning of the trailer. The video opens with a shot of her witch nieces holding hands and looking at each other tenderly. “Tested by fate, tested by time, and never broken.”
The film is directed by Susanne Bier, known for the thrillers “Serena” and “Bird Box,” which starred Sandra Bullock. Along with Nicole Kidman, Bullock is a producer of “Practical Magic 2.” The film will be released in cinemas on September 11.
