Ukrainian woman Tetiana resided in the USA for over three years and has now returned to a village in Ukraine. Tetiana shared her journey, detailing the profound internal questions and decisions that led her to drastically alter her life once more.

Tetiana, a Ukrainian woman, lived in America for three and a half years but returned this spring and settled in a Ukrainian village. She mentions that she contemplated this decision extensively and processed her feelings before undertaking the move.

The Reasons Behind Her Return to Ukraine
According to Tetiana, the topic of emigration and returning home is highly relevant and sensitive for many individuals, as it represents a significant life-altering step. She noted that at a certain point, she felt internal shifts and began to evaluate her emotional state.
“What questions did I start asking myself to understand that I wanted to leave the USA and return to Ukraine? Seeing the volume of messages on the subject of relocation, I realized how painful this topic is for many people. Because it’s a major step, and life after it won’t be the same,” the woman explained.
Questions That Led to Life Changes
To make her final decision, Tetiana began posing questions to herself about her future, professional pursuits, and emotional well-being, while also answering them honestly.
“Do I want to live like this for the next 5 years? Am I truly living here, or have I simply become accustomed to this life? Do I genuinely love what I do? Have I become closer to myself over these years, or have I lost myself instead? What needs to change for me to want to stay in the USA? Am I staying here out of desire or out of fear that my life will fundamentally change? What emotions arise when I think about returning home, and what emotions arise when I consider staying?” Tetiana shared.
The woman added that some of these inquiries pertained to her personal life. She concluded that after providing sincere answers to herself, she could no longer pretend that everything was acceptable and recognized the necessity for change. In Tetiana’s opinion, one’s inner voice sometimes holds the correct answer even before the person is ready to accept it.
