Romeo Beckham to star in Studiocanal’s new project
Romeo Beckham has been successfully making his mark in the fashion world for several years, appearing in campaigns for Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga. However, his career is now entering a new phase: film company Studiocanal has unveiled the first images from Romeo’s acting debut. He will play a leading role in the sports drama “Forty Love.”

About the Plot
The story revolves around Sasha Gallo, an emerging tennis star. Under the strict guidance of his father, he undergoes grueling training to win the ultimate career trophy in Paris. However, the appearance of a charismatic and enigmatic rival, played by the younger Beckham, disrupts the athlete’s usual routine. It forces Sasha to re-evaluate everything he thought he knew about competition, ambition, and himself.
“For the first time in his life, he faces an opponent of a completely different nature – love. A force that is as captivating as it is destabilizing, and far more dangerous than anything he has ever encountered on the court,” reads the official synopsis.
Who is Working on the Film
The cast has been assembled with a keen eye for European cinema. Alongside Romeo, the screen will feature “Animal Kingdom” star Pol Kircher, Guillaume Canet (“Little Brothers”), and Benjamin Voisin (“The Man in the Basement”). Additionally, audiences can expect a special appearance from French cinema legend Catherine Deneuve.
The project is directed by renowned fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, marking his feature film debut. He co-wrote the screenplay with Gaëlle Mace (known for Rebecca Zlotowski’s drama “Other People’s Children”).
There’s no need to worry about the visual and artistic aspects – the film’s producer is Hugo Sélignac, who set a record at the Cannes Film Festival this year by presenting five of his releases across various programs.
“Pierre-Ange’s photographs possess a rare tenderness, melancholy, and strength, so his transition to directing seemed like a completely natural step to me,” shares Sélignac.
He is joined in production by Paco de la Bauère, Manna Studios, and Studiocanal, which is also overseeing international sales for the film.

When to Expect It
The world premiere of “Forty Love” is scheduled for the autumn of this year. The film will be released in French cinemas on November 25th. The date for the Ukrainian release will be announced later.
